I trust Christmas was good to you and that 2017 has been a happy one for you so far. Look at this, almost Valentine’s Day and it’s my first update of the year… naughty Dave.
Things are good here, I had a most enjoyable Christmas with family and friends and then another birthday rolled around a couple of weeks ago…
My birthday was quickly followed by my son Benjamin reaching his 15th… He’s a pretty amazing young man and makes me very proud.
Glad to say BBC is showing trailers for upcoming drama series and Jimmy McGovern’s BROKEN, starring Sean Bean (and me as one of his brothers), is in the list. As soon as I have dates I will post it here.
In the meantime, The Yorkshire Teabaggershave been busy in the rehearsal studio with a few gigs recently and more to come.
We made this video during our rehearsal this week, consider it our Valetine to the women of Yorkshire….
Follow us on Facebook.
And I’m very happy to share that I have a new pair of Doc’s…. picked up at a decent price on eBay, lightly used. Love ’em!
So, that’s it for now. Wishing you as much love as you can handle for Feb 14th!
It’s been an exciting few months here at McClellandMedia HQ….
I shot an episode of the new BBC TV series IN THE DARK, starring MyAnna Buring.
I shot an amazing leading role in the super new horror movie PANDORA. I played a coach driver in new feature film DESTINATION: DEWSBURY…
and there’s something new coming up very soon that I’m very excited about, but I can’t share as yet…
So it looks like you will see a lot of me on screens large and small over the next few months.
Add to that an upcoming gig by our band, THE YORKSHIRE TEABAGGERS, this very weekend at the Regather Venue in Sheffield – follow this link for all the details. We’ll be treating everyone to a drink, so don’t miss it!
Other recent events of note….. Well done Jeremy Corbyn! Let’s hope the Labour Party can now get on with fighting the Tories.
And it was a happy 84th birthday for my Mum, June McClelland, the very best mum in the world!
We’re just a small part of a fun-filled evening, along with Idle Eye, Shaun Doane (the one out of Everly Pregnant Brothers – standup) and Penny Capper (as Jenny Vegas). Plus projected animations from Daniel Ladler. Moist just thinking about it!
We’re working the new songs now, but here’s a reminder of what we do…
It’s been a busy couple of months. I shot a small role in a new BBC Drama, IN THE DARK, a lovely scene with MyAnna Buring…
Then it was on to a leading role in a magnificent horror film, PANDORA.
I can’t tell you anything about it, other than it was dark, gory – and lots of fun to do.
Our director is Carl Whiteley, here’s one of his funnier projects…
And here’s a few recent pics I took whilst on location to give you a little flavour of what is to come…..
A big night for me, a couple of my short films get a public screening at the Showroom in Sheffield as part of The South Yorkshire Filmmakers Network Showroom Shortsevening.
Showing tonight will be What The Heck? Henderson’s Relish and The Yorkshire Teabaggers video for LARDY BUM.
It’s going to be a great experience for me to see them on a larger screen with a room full of strangers, so come along if you can, tonight, Tuesday 15 March 21:00, The Showroom Cinema, Paternoster Row, Sheffield S1, Main Bar, Length – 80 mins. And IT’S FREE!
If you can’t be there, then look up my shorts below on the largest screen you can!
I know, I know, I started going on about this years ago – there were potential release dates touted, but all came to nought. The joys of Indie films….
But now there is a release date – March 7th. It’s available for pre-order available here on Amazon. Not Sure about other availability as yet, but will be in stores somewhere.
UPDATE: I had this on pre-oder with Amazon and then had the email to say it would not be released until January 2017!!!!! I could spit! It is, apparently, available on Pay Per View schedules, look out for it there.
