A bit of a web site tidy up…..

Hello folks!

Almost the weekend and almost my birthday, looking forward to food, fun and frolics.

I just wanted to share a few updates I’ve made to the web site.

I used to hand code everything back when I started, then moved to Dreamweaver for design, then added WordPress for the blog section of the site.

To try to keep everything fresh, uniform and handy for mobile devices, I’ve started moving the old pages to the WordPress format. It also makes updates easy from my phone.

So if you look up at the menu bar above you will see a few new additions. Many of my old pages will go under the Other Pages section, so look there for Memoirs of a Railwayman, David McClelland the Psychologist, the USS McClelland and Unique Urinals. I am pretty eclectic in my pages….

And (yet another) reminder that Episode 2 of Barry Pigeon Protects is online today…..
Please, please, please view, subscribe, like and share…..

I’ve had the pleasure of filming a web series, Barry Pigeon Protects, recently – it will hit your computer screens in January, but there will be a taster online Christmas day so subscribe to Barry on Twitter to keep up to date with all the latest. It’s a funny account to follow.

It’s funny and poignant and was a lot of fun to shoot, so stay tuned….

Here’s a few pics as a wee taster of what’s to come…

Present… Our Xmas Single! Call me Dave Teabag

In my second post of the Yuletide Season, I’ll share what’s happening in the present…..

I have joined up with a local bloke known as Tommy Teabag, changed my name to Dave Teabag, and we’ve done our first video release especially for Christmas.

Hairy Tale of New York(shire) Title Frame

Going under the name of The Yorkshire Teabaggers, we’ve recorded our take on the Christmas classic, Fairytale of New York, but given it a Yorkshire twist and renamed it Hairy Tale of New York(shire).

We’ve had a huge response on our Facebook Page and on YouTube as well… I share it with you now to spread the love from Yorkshire this Christmas.

All filmed locally at The Railway, Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield, just down the road from The Trafalgar Fisheries mentioned in the last post. Jean serves a fine pint, so get down there!

And finally, as a little Christmas gift to you, I’d like to share something I’ve recorded for family and friends, with a special Christmas wish for my children, Benjamin, Sophie and Joseph.

Merry Christmas to all! And to all, a good night!

love, Dave x

Dire Summer Telly… Let’s BBQ a flock of sheep…..

Summer TV viewing can be pretty poor at the best of times, but promo ads for 2015 summer ‘entertainment’ aren’t making me want to sit inside watching the telly….. (other than the ‘Summer Fate’ promo for  Emmerdale, but that’s another story..)

Flockstars – celebrities teamed up with a trained sheepdog to “compete in a series of sheepdog trials testing skill, technique and discipline in a bid to win the coveted Flockstars’ shield.” Coveted????? COVETED?????

I admit to watching One Man and his Dog when I was a nipper, but this show leaves me uninspired. I expect they will have to introduce killing and cooking whatever the dogs round-up to keep viewers.

Which brings us neatly to B.B.Q. Champ – “A team of ten contenders from across the country will compete against each other to become the first BBQ Champ and while Myleene Klass hosts the series, Man vs Food star Adam Richman will judge, alongside British chef and restaurateur Mark Blatchford. ”

I love a BBQ myself… my ancient gas grill rusts happily in the garden awaiting it’s next outing, if the rain ever stops. But watching other people BBQ without the smells, camaraderie and a cold beer? Not for me I’m afraid. Perhaps it’s all a plan to make us turn off the TV and go outdoors.

I imagine this show will resort to Mylene Klass bikini shots like I’m a Celebrity to keep viewers interested.

Or here’s an idea….. maybe they’ll combine the shows and have bikini-clad celebs with sheepdogs catching food, which then they BBQ for Adam Richman to gorge on until he explodes.

Adam Richman eats Myleene Klass….

Now that’s worth watching! Crack open a beer and fire up the barby!
