Stage East is a professional company that produces live theatrical and musical performances.<\/h3>\r\n

\"\"Based in Amherst, NS, the geographical centre of the Maritimes, we celebrate the people of Canada\u2019s Maritime provinces and their stories.<\/p>\r\n

Stage East operates under the umbrella of the Great Amherst Cultural Society, a registered not for profit charity that is also responsible for Esther Fest<\/a>. We are a relatively new group and are continuing to expand our offerings. As of 2026 we produce musical tribute shows celebrating East Coast artists and an annual original Christmas dinner theatre.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

UP NEXT…<\/h1>\r\nWe will be hitting the road again this summer with our very popular tribute shows to Anne Murray and Rita MacNeil. We will be touring from June through September. Click below to learn more about both of these shows.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\r\n

We are also excited to announce that we will be adding a new show this year that will celebrate female singers from Canada’s Maritime provinces. We’ll have a full announcement about that show in the coming days.<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n
