Nothing too exciting has happened&#8230; then the last few weeks got busy, so there&#8217;s now stuff to share.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Oct 7th, is<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalpoetryday.co.uk\/\">NATIONAL POETRY DAY<\/a><\/strong>. And I am delighted to share a short film contribution that I was part of.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/storiesbysimon.co.uk\">Simon James<\/a><\/strong> is a talented writer, director, and producer, and has released three short films for National Poetry Day, under the title <a href=\"https:\/\/storiesbysimon.co.uk\/rhymedownthelens\/\"><strong>Rhyme Down the Lens<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My Episode is titled <strong>Well-Behaved Webcam Girl.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"604\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EmfzJJ6PZ4w?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>ABOUT THE SERIES<\/h2>\n<h4><strong>Simon says&#8230;<a href=\"https:\/\/storiesbysimon.co.uk\/rhymedownthelens\/\"> (on this page link)<\/a> <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">&#8220;Each film is its own dramatic poem, performed by one talented actor down the camera lens. RDTL has a working-class flavour &#8211; poetry for anybody to enjoy. (I say \u2018anybody\u2019, but probably not kids \u2013 you\u2019ve been warned\u2026)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">There are just two rules for a Rhyme Down the Lens production: It must rhyme, and it must be delivered (you guessed it), down the lens. This last point puts the viewer right in the middle of the action, being spoken to directly by the film\u2019s lead. Whether they\u2019re filling the shoes of a passenger on a bus, or taking the role of an online sex worker, the viewer is very much playing a character themselves. Tearing down the fourth wall brick by brick.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">I hope Rhyme Down the Lens proves that anybody can follow (and enjoy) a poem. The amount of times you hear people say \u2018I just don\u2019t get poetry\u2019\u2026 I\u2019m not going to lie, a little part of me dies every time.
