As a professional actor, I’ve worked with many interesting people.
\nBut just like everyone else, I am also a fan.
\nSo whose photos would\u00a0I have on my wall?

As a kid, I was a big fan of The Waltons. Watching in England, life on Walton’s Mountain seemed idyllic and, like John Boy, I began to keep a journal – something I still do to this day. As a youngster, I could relate to all the Walton kids, but it was Erin I had a crush on. Many years later while watching an old episode, I wondered what had ever happened to actor Mary McDonough, tracked down her agent and sent her a letter. She sent a lovely reply, along with the signed photo above.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tracie Bennett<\/strong>
If anyone is responsible for me being a professional actor today, Tracie Bennett is that person. As a Coronation Street fan, I loved her performance in the show and went to see her in pantomime. I met her in the bar after the show and we had a great talk. As I was doing at the time, she used to work in a Tax Office. This inspired me to quit the Civil Service and follow my dream. I met her a few times after that and she was always very supportive and helpful.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Another Coronation Street star. Pat was one of the long-running characters I grew up with. I met her in Sheffield at a store opening a few years before she died. I lined up for ages to see her – it was well worth the wait.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Richard Thorp, of Emmerdale fame. Richard is the father of Doug Thorp, the director of one of my first movies, CUT. Doug got this signed photo for me.
